Beliefs, Perceptions and the Subconscious Mind

Many people are still not aware of their beliefs and perceptions. Of those who are, few are willing to step into courage and change them for more positive ones. Or better still have no beliefs and perceptions about life at all. This would allow the full compliment of renewing or divine energies from the cosmos to impact their being.

After all we are a microcosm of the macrocosm or

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them." Genesis 1:27

Instead these energies are manipulated by the conditioned beliefs and perceptions of humanity held in cellular memory.

Many have heard of the subconscious, conscious and super conscious minds. These terms are synonymous with body, mind and spirit. When people discuss keeping the body in balance more often than not a reference is made to correct nutrition, exercise and such like. However usually the key ingredient is completely missed out, usually because of the fear of change. This key would keep our bodies in perfection and therefore completely in alignment to the Cosmos/God/Source/Spirit. I am talking about releasing the dysfunctional energetic patterns which are creating our lives and which are stored in our cells. These energetic patterns or beliefs are based on anxiety, fear and lack. They keep us acting as closed systems, seemingly "separated" from the Cosmos/God/Source/Spirit. They are stored in our subconscious minds.

Beliefs and My Experience

When we release these very often destructive ‘programs’ or beLIEfs our bodies and our lives will automatically heal. I see this everyday when clients come for treatment. The issues they experience in the body are a direct reflection of subconscious beLIEfs and programming. This programming filters down into the physical body via the endocrine system. It moves from parents to children to their children and so on until a generation have the courage to stop it. We are that generation. As we become more aware by being open to change, our "junk DNA" which is not junk at all, allows more light in, activating codes within our being. Until that happens we are at the mercy of a closed beLIEf system. Here are a few random issues to give you more of an idea:

Anxiety – not trusting the flow of life. For many this is because they have little awareness of their true nature and relationship to the planet, solar system, and cosmos. Like I said above we are each a microcosm of the macrocosm. Forgetting this and focusing on our present dysfunctional world makes us anxious.

Scoliosis – a belief that we are unsupported in life or constantly feeling burdened. This can be either real or imagined;

Hip pain – usually to do with rigidity in thinking and fear of moving forward in life. It is also the balance of male and female (positive and negative polarity) energies. If hips are out of balance we then get back and neck problems. I have been getting many people with these issues over the last few years. This is because of the 26000 year cycle that has ended/begun. We are being bombarded with energies from the cosmos.

Beliefs and Patterning

The problem is that up till now we have not been aware of our subconscious beLIEfs. Only becoming aware of them, perhaps, when a negative emotion arises. This is because those beLIEfs or programs lie in the 97% of the mind that we are not usually conscious of. Scientists reckon that the subconscious mind is one million times stronger than the conscious mind. This leads to our particular "patterning" and way of being in this lifetime. This is one of the reasons why affirmations performed in normal waking consciousness (beta state) will have no effect whatsoever. The subconscious holds ALL beLIEfs, skills, memories, images, situations from ALL lifetimes! This includes those patterns from our genetic lineage! It is not surprising then that our subconscious underpins our whole life in terms of how we perceive it…..

But we can change this perception……

Therefore I am finally getting to the point of this article and that is this. We can only change/release negative energetic imprinting, these negative beLIEfs, via autosuggestion. This can only be done when we take the conscious mind out of play. This is done by inducing contemplative and meditative states. We are inducing states of alpha, theta and even delta and are the true sources of our creative abilities.

When we are in the alpha, theta (and delta) states we are in whole brain functioning, that is both hemispheres of the brain are communicating with each other.

During this state we can reprogram the subconscious mind.

We can reprogram our genes by allowing more light into our system.

Dropping or Reprogramming Beliefs

Step One

Traditionally we have tried to uncover the limiting programs that have held us back. However this is a long and laborious job taking many decades and even a lifetime as there are many interlinking and related beLIEfs. This means that although we may uncover one ‘anxiety’ beLIEf for example, we still tend to feel anxious because of other deep seated energetic patterns of anxiety and fear.

There is a much better way...

When we are meditating we are able to move from a beta to alpha and then a theta state. Another way of saying this is we can move from normal waking consciousness to relaxed focus and then to total relaxation with little or no awareness of the external environment. When we have done this it is time to identify which EMOTION we no longer wish to feel. The reason we target emotions is that each emotion is aligned with many beLIEfs or programs so when we release or change an emotion we have effectively released all the connecting programs and not just one!!

So how do we release/change an emotion?

First it is crucial that we accept and feel the emotion no matter how horrible it may feel. The emotion cannot harm us!!!

This is the stage that most will ignore, usually because of fear. Without feeling the negative emotion and accepting where we are at in the moment the next step will not work.

Step Two

While we are in a deep meditative state we think of the opposite emotion we want to feel from the one we have been experiencing. So to do this think of something that will make you feel this new emotion. When we are feeling this pleasant emotion the ENERGETIC CHARGE of this feeling must be GREATER than the charge of the existing feeling. You must really feel it so run through various scenarios in your head or minds eye to experience this emotion. Remember you are literally recreating your life so don't limit yourself. When the charge is greater we are creating new neural pathways in our brains. We are recreating ourselves. Over time and repeated practice we strengthen these new neural pathways (by meditating regularly). Eventually the old pattern which is still there will weaken and we no longer are aware of it.

Beliefs, A Simple Analogy

To give you a simple analogy of what is happening imagine the following. When we learn to drive a car we are building new neural pathways due to the neuroplasticity of the brain. We then strengthen these pathways over time by practicing. These new neural pathways correspond to the coordinated physical actions we engage in to drive. This is what one of the cool functions of the subconscious mind is all about, storing and using on demand repetitive functions so we/conscious mind don’t have to think.

If we then don’t drive our car for 2 years (imagine this to be the old emotion and neural pathway) these neural pathways weaken. That is the emotion subsides (but the neural pathways and the emotion are still there if we choose to follow that ‘program’ again. In other words start driving again). If we now learn to ride a motorcycle (assume it is a more empowering emotion, new neural pathways are developed) and decide to ride the motorcycle regularly instead of driving the car (old emotion and neural pathways) we will strengthen our motorcycle riding abilities (new emotion and neural pathways) and become very ‘rusty’ at driving a car (old neural pathways and emotion). The new emotion and neural pathways are now strengthened and used regularly, that is we are consistently riding the motorcycle.

In the long term because we have literally raised our vibration (more empowering emotion) we do not want to go back to the original emotion (old neural pathway) because we realise how limiting it was. You will have realised this when you no longer ‘resonate’ with people or situations that you used to have so much in common with. (ie other car drivers. Instead you are now part of the motorcycle gang :))

Beliefs and Lifes Work

So ‘The Work’ that many of us are doing at this moment is not only connecting with spirit (super conscious) but also the releasing of old worn out and dysfunctional energetic patterns in our cells which are keeping the physical body and what we perceive as ourselves (small self/personality) locked into 3D life. This also means we are reprogramming and creating new neural pathways in the brain. Our cells increase their frequency of vibration when these old energetic patterns are released. Our connection to spirit/cosmos/god/super conscious is strengthened as we raise our consciousness, ie release limiting beLIEfs.

We often only see half a story when we think in a certain way. I hope by changing the body in the ‘body, mind and spirit’ analogy to the subconscious and giving an overview of how our beLIEfs are stored in cells (subconscious) that you may have a better understanding of why our lives may not be perfect at the moment. There is more to the body than keeping it fit in the traditional sense. This is why yoga and meditation are so beneficial. They progressively break down energetic blocks or limiting beliefs. Clearly, dysfunctional energetic patterns and beLIEfs which have kept us locked into a certain way of life must be released if we are to move to a different and much improved perception of reality.

The important work that we are all doing at this moment is therefore about releasing dysfunctional energetic patterns from our cells and ascending our consciousness WITH the physical body. The fun is being in the physical body therefore it is important that we take it with us as humanity grow and evolve in awareness and consciousness over the next few decades.
